Airplane Modifications

About

Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) flies to some of the most challenging airstrips in the world, carrying thousands of precious passengers each year. So it's important that our planes are maintained in top condition, with the very best safety features. Our standards are high. Before an MAF plane is dedicated for service, MAF mechanics spend up to four months equipping it with the necessary modifications. These FlightWatch articles describe some of the modifications and the special fabrication methods that MAF has developed to make sure our planes can safely operate in the extreme weather conditions and on difficult terrain around the world.
