Kevin and Melisa Borror,
along with their children Kyle and Annie, are missionaries with Mission
Aviation Fellowship serving in Shell, Ecuador. Kevin, a pilot/mechanic,
is using the airplane as a tool to help reach the people of Ecuador for
Christ. He has been able to fly numerous missionaries, Bible
translators, and national missionaries to remote jungle villages to aid
them in their work. He also regularly flies medical teams to these
remote villages, as well as patients who need medical care at the local
hospital. Kevin has also enjoyed getting involved in teaching English
to many Ecuadorians through one of the local churches. Melisa is kept
very busy taking care of their two active children. In addition to
these responsibilities, she has also been able to get involved in
several Bible studies, children’s clubs, and has recently served on the
school board at the local mission school.

Kevin lived in Indiana and Virginia during his growing-up years. He was raised in a Christian home and through a backyard Bible club held at his home, his mother led him to the Lord at age five. Visiting missionaries at his home church helped him realize the importance of missions.
Kevin attended Moody Bible Institute and Moody Aviation where he earned a B.S. in Missionary /Aviation Technology. He holds a commercial pilot’s certificate (fixed wing) and is a flight instructor (CFI A/I). After graduation from Moody, he was a flight instructor at Missionary Aviation Institute at Piedmont Baptist College for two years.
Melisa was born in Nebraska and grew up on a turkey farm in Minnesota. Her parents positively influenced her for Christ. Because of their love and care and the explanation of the Gospel by her kindergarten teacher, she came to know Christ at a young age.
Melisa attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and East Tennessee State University. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Piedmont Baptist College located in North Carolina. She quotes Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” Melisa says, “This verse keeps me focused on what is really important--serving and pleasing God. My goal in life is to do my very best at whatever is placed before me to the glory of God.”
Melisa met Kevin when they were attending Moody, and they were married in May of 1996 after their sophomore year of college.
