We are Scott and Monti Channon, with our children, Bethany and Daniel. We are missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship currently serving the Lord at MAF headquarters in Nampa, Idaho.
During our first seven years with MAF, we served in Venezuela. What a blessing it has been to see God work out the many details that made reaching the remote peoples of Venezuela possible. It takes a complex interweaving of people including missionaries, pilots, mechanics, U.S. staff, and prayer and financial partners, working together as a team to give wings to the Gospel.

During our time in Venezuela, many barriers were overcome to bring the Gospel to the many remote villages. In addition, life saving medicines and emergency transportation were part of the daily flights I did to support mission work in the far reaches of the jungle.
In early 2006, the government of Venezuela ordered missionaries out of the jungle areas of Venezuela. MAF was forced to close their operations there. After this, MAF asked us to join the flight training team at headquarters and we accepted.
Our service in Venezuela has been a life-changing experience. God has been faithful to let us stretch, but not break. We look forward to using that experience in training new pilot families for their service overseas.
MAF headquarters provides the necessary support needed to keep families on the front lines, serving and ministering to those who are in such need, both physically and spiritually. You can think of us as "Mission Control"...providing the vital services and support our families on the field need to continue their work.
To fund the worldwide ministry of MAF, God is faithful in providing ministry support from His most generous and caring people. He has called the men and women of MAF to serve Him in a unique way and He is also calling people like you around the world to play a special role in the ministry of MAF.

The U.S. offices of Mission Aviation Fellowship serve as a hub for MAF services worldwide. A day in the life here includes specialized flight training, staff recruitment and counseling, purchasing and shipping of aircraft parts, finance and accounting, administration of an internet gateway for worldwide email, fund raising, printing and mailing of various materials, and many, many more activities.
