Todd and Jennifer Edgerton, and their children, Kyle (8), and Megan (7), are missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship, serving in Haiti as an aircraft maintenance specialist family. A verse that has special significance to them is Romans 10:14, “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

Todd was born in San Antonio, Texas, and later moved to Manzini, Swaziland, Africa, where his parents worked in a mission hospital. While in Swaziland, at the age of eight, he became aware of his personal need for Jesus and accepted the Lord as his Savior. Todd’s family moved to Nampa, Idaho, while he was in seventh grade, and he finished his education there. Through his early exposure to missions, and participation in mission trips to Mexico while in high school and college, God changed an interest in missions into a call to missionary service. Todd graduated from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, with a degree in Engineering Physics, and then volunteered for six years with another mission in South America. During this time, his desire to serve in missionary aviation and with MAF continued to grow.

Jennifer lived in Florida and Georgia until her family moved to Clarksville, Tennessee, in 1983. She accepted Christ as her Savior as a young girl while watching Jesus of Nazareth. Her family was very involved in their local church and especially enjoyed reading missionary books, and listening to visiting missionaries speak about what God is doing around the world. Through involvement in a missions club at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, and several mission trips, God called her to personal involvement in missions.

Jennifer met Todd on a missions trip to Venezuela, in 1995, and they were married May 31, 1997. After earning her B.S. in Early Childhood Education, Jennifer taught middle school for five years while Todd attended Moody Bible Institute’s aviation school in Elizabethton, Tennessee. There he earned his A&P mechanic’s license as well as his commercial pilot’s license for single and multi-engine, with instrument ratings. Following graduation from Moody, Todd and Jennifer took a four-year missionary assignment in Guatemala to help produce media resources for churches.

Kyle, born in Elizabethton, and Megan, born in Guatemala City, have been a special part of the Edgertons’ ministry.

A favorite verse of Todd’s is, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” (Colossians 3:12, NIV) He believes that as he helps keep MAF airplanes flying in the role of aircraft mechanic, he will have special opportunities to display these qualities of Christ.

Since her college days of seeking God’s will for her life, Jeremiah 29:11 has been very special to Jennifer. She looks forward to serving in various capacities as a wife and mother, in the local church, and as a member of the MAF team.

To fund the worldwide ministry of MAF, God is faithful in providing generous ministry support from His caring people. He has called the men and women of MAF to serve Him in a unique way.

He is also calling people like you to have a special role in the ministry of MAF around the world. You are invited to partner with Todd and Jennifer in this strategic ministry. Please prayerfully consider involvement with them through prayer and/or financial support.
