Bio

Bryan Eygabroad is a new missionary with Mission Aviation Fellowship serving in Lesotho, Africa, as a pilot/mechanic. A special verse to him is Romans 10:14-15, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

Bryan was born in Anchorage, Alaska. When he was five, his family moved to Federal Way, Washington, where they lived through his graduation from Federal Way High School in 1998.

His family attended church when he was young, but they ceased going during his adolescence. Despite his church attendance, Bryan did not have a relationship with Jesus. However, while working for FedEx, he met a friend who invited him to his church for a Sunday service. At the age of 19, he committed his life to serve Jesus.

A mission team visiting his church one Sunday inspired him to serve with them in South America. The summer of 2000, he served in Venezuela for two weeks and in Peru for one month the following summer. It was during this time that he felt called to serve the Lord as a full-time missionary. He later heard about MAF from some of his friends at church who knew of his interest in missions and aviation.

Bryan has an Associate’s degree from Green River Community College. He also holds commercial pilot, flight instructor, and airframe and power plant licenses. In the winter of 2001, he began an internship with his home church and completed Bible School courses through Global University. From 1998 to 2006, he worked for FedEx as a handler and a courier. In 2006, he worked as an aviation mechanic for Norman Aviation Services in Everett, Washington. Then in June 2007, he accepted a charter pilot job at Rite Bros. Aviation in Port Angeles, Washington. All of these opportunities were important for building flight and maintenance experience.

Serving with MAF has been a dream of Bryan’s since he was 20. To serve the Lord with his skills as a pilot/mechanic, to witness others coming to the Lord and knowing that in some way he was used by God to impact another person’s life for Jesus is the essence of a life well-lived for Bryan. One of his favorite verses is Ephesians 2:8-10, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

To fund the worldwide ministry of MAF, God is faithful in providing generous ministry support from His caring people. He has called the men and women of MAF to serve Him in a unique way.

He is also calling people like you to have a special role in the ministry of MAF around the world. You are invited to partner with Bryan in this strategic ministry. Please prayerfully consider involvement with him through prayer and/or financial support.
