Ron and Nancy Hilbrands, with their daughters, Alison, Julie, and Lisa, are missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship, serving at MAF headquarters in Nampa, Idaho.

Ron was born in Armour, South Dakota. Because his father was a pastor, Ron grew up in several states. He learned about Christ throughout his childhood, and when he was 21, God used a small country church to minister to him and reveal Christ's reality.

Ron received an A.A. degree in forestry and then spent several years in the U.S. Navy. As he grew in his spiritual life, Ron began to feel a call toward missionary aviation. He enrolled in Moody Bible Institute and graduated with a B.S. in mission aviation technology. Ron has earned a commercial pilot's license with instrument rating as well as an airframe and powerplant (A&P) mechanic's license.

Nancy was born and raised in Corona, California. Her family nurtured her spiritual life by taking her to church and Sunday School regularly and by modeling Christ's life to her. Because of this influence, Nancy gave her life to Jesus Christ when she was 12.

Nancy attended both Fullerton College in California and San Diego State University receiving an A.A. degree and a B.S. degree in home economics. She continued her education at Loma Linda University where she graduated with an M.S. degree in speech pathology.

Ron and Nancy have now served with MAF for over 25 years, in many different places and with different responsibilities.  They have served in Indonesia (Papua), Lesotho (Southern Africa), the headquarters in Redlands, CA, and now at the headquarters in Nampa, ID.  Currently, Ron is the Manager of Recruiting where he is responsible for six other recruiters, leading the team in meeting th overseas needs of MAF.  Counseling potential candidates is probably the highlight for Ron as he helps them discern what God's will may be for them.

Nancy's life is very full as she provides a loving home for their teen-age daughters and also provides hospitality for the many candidates coming through for evaluation at MAF.  She also works full-time as a Speech Therapist in the local school district, working primarily with pre-school aged kids.

Her favorite verses are 2 Corinthians 2:14-15: "But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing."

To fund the worldwide ministry of MAF, God is faithful in providing loyal, generous ministry support from thousands of His most caring people. He has called the men and women of MAF to serve Him in a unique way. He is also calling thousands of Christians like you around the world to play a special role in the ministry of MAF.

You are invited to become a ministry partner in this strategic ministry. Please prayerfully consider involvement with Ron and Nancy through prayer or financial support.
