![]() MAF has a critical need for accredited teachers (K-12) with at least one year of classroom experience. Teachers must be willing to serve overseas for a year or more, to teach and mentor the children of MAF and other missionary families who minister in remote areas. Without adequate educational opportunities for their children, some MAF missionary families may need to send their children to boarding school. Other MAF families may feel compelled to return home earlier than planned. By providing your experience and skills as a teacher, you can help them remain in field ministry—while you have a life-changing experience. Typically, MAF staff are asked to raise all or part of their own support. Due to the current critical teacher shortage, MAF is willing to subsidize a portion of the support for certain teaching positions. Teaching opportunities are presently open in Central Asia, Ecuador, and Indonesia. Dorm parents are also needed in Papua, Indonesia.
Here’s what the teachers say:

"There are barely enough teachers to staff the main campus … and our satellite campus … If you are a teacher, please pray about coming … to support the missionaries by teaching their children. If you know any teachers, please inform them of this need." —teacher in Papua

"We have been so blessed to have been called to serve here. Who would have thought that the Lord could use this old couple on the far side of the world? We have truly experienced what our Savior was talking about in Matthew 19:29. We have received so much that we would have missed if
we had said "no" to His call."
