Ministry Partnership--Ready to Go!
We are very nearly finished with our Ministry Partnership seminar, ready to head out and work on raising the rest of our support. It's been a very busy last two weeks! And the next months will be busy as well, as we trust God to raise the rest of our monthly support. We are now at just over 60% of our monthly support, with a goal of returning to Indonesia in January, 2009. Between now and then, we'll be speaking in churches and to small groups and individuals, packing and sorting to move, writing thank you notes (I still haven't gotten all our wedding thank you's done!!!), and traveling. Tim will be doing some training on aircraft maintenance, specifically the Caravan, since we are soon getting one in Tarakan. So our schedule is beginning to fill up.
Before we started the seminar, we went camping in Yellowstone National Park. THAT was nice--we wish we'd had more time. We hiked along Yellowstone's Grand Canyon, watched a grizzly bear eating a deer, saw herds of bison and some elk, saw Old Faithful and a few other geysers erupt, and just enjoyed the beauty of the woods and mountains.
