serving in the Learning Technologies Division. Using distance

and schools worldwide who are training pastors and church leaders.
He’ll be helping these groups improve the quality of their materials
while using technology to expand the reach of their programs, making

Leaman’s journey to MAF-LT began in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he was born and raised. He attended Butler University, graduating in 1996, with a B.S. degree in Biology. He returned to Butler and graduated with another B.S. degree in Pharmacy in 2000. He is a licensed pharmacist in the state of Indiana. He has worked in retail pharmacy, pediatric hospital pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, management, and pharmacy IT.
Leaman became a Christian after college, when he came to understand God’s forgiveness and mercy and how it applied to his own life and struggles. He discovered the world of missions right after he began attending Common Ground Christian Church. In 2001, he gained a passion for missions after being part of a medical mission trip to Mexico. A pivotal time in his life came during a trip to Zimbabwe, where he served in a mission hospital for a month.
He became aware of MAF through some friends, Jason and Joselyn Thiemann, who will be serving in Lesotho, where Jason will be a pilot/mechanic. Leaman shares, “I came to the MAF headquarters in the summer of 2007, while visiting the Thiemanns during their training, and they introduced me to the Learning Technologies department. During that first meeting, I knew that this was a significant moment in my walk; I had found the place to serve the Lord.”
In this transition, Leaman says, “This new road means that I’ll be leaving the world of pharmacy, but throughout this process of becoming involved with MAF-LT, I have been reassured that God has prepared the way. This is very exciting to me.” One of his favorite Scriptures is Romans 5:1-5, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.”
To fund the worldwide ministry of MAF, God is faithful in providing generous ministry support from His people. He has called the men and women of MAF to serve Him in a unique way. He is also calling people like you to play a special role in the ministry of MAF around the world. You are invited to become a ministry partner with Leaman in this strategic ministry. Please prayerfully consider involvement with him through prayer and/or financial support.
