Beth is a teacher with Mission Aviation Fellowship and will be returning to Shell, Ecuador, where she has already taught for two years at the Nate Saint Memorial School. A passage from the Bible that has had a significant impact on her life is Psalm 51:16-17, “You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart…” This verse reminds Beth of the commitment she made to God, not to try and do things to please Him or to please other people, but to offer her entire self to Him.

Beth was born and raised in southern West Virginia, but also had the unique experience of living in Ecuador, on three short-term occasions with her family, while she was still in elementary and middle school. It was her experiences in Ecuador, and the encouragement of godly family and friends that led her to commit her life to God. After growing up with many first-hand experiences overseas, Beth grew to love missions.

She attended Appalachian Bible College and graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. Beth taught for one year in West Virginia, before moving to Shell to teach missionaries’ children.

It is the children of missionaries who motivate Beth to continue teaching overseas. She realizes that she can be a support to those moving their families overseas by offering a solid education. Beth says that the words of Jim Elliot, “Wherever you are, be all there,” have influenced her to be where she is today. She is excited to be serving God, where He has her now, although she is certainly opened for changes in the future.

The words of Jeremiah 29:11. give Beth the peace and confidence to follow God wherever He leads her. “'For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

To fund the worldwide ministry of MAF, God is faithful in providing generous ministry support from His caring people. He has called the men and women of MAF to serve Him in a unique way.

He is also calling people like you to have a special role in the ministry of MAF around the world. You are invited to partner with Beth in this strategic ministry. Please prayerfully consider involvement with her through prayer and/or financial support.
