Jason and Robyn Pratt, along with their daughter, Samantha, are missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship in Palangkaraya, Kalimantan, Indonesia. As a pilot/mechanic family, the Pratts serve on a small floatplane base in the vast river networks of Central Kalimantan. Jason shares that it is a privilege to be able to serve the Lord with his life. "Huge spiritual needs still exist in Central Kalimantan. Alcoholism, drugs, depression, and ancestor worship are still a part of everyday life here. MAF has been strategically placed to be a "light" to the dark and isolated places. When the challenges seem too much, we cling to Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Jason was raised in Portage, IN, and his parents encouraged his faith. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at a young age. Also, as a young boy, Jason worked alongside his father in their garage, increasing his interest in mechanics, until he became aware of the need to develop his technical skills and understanding. In junior high, he was able to join the Civil Air Patrol, which is where he became interested in aviation. Later in high school, Jason was involved in an overseas mission trip where the Lord showed him that He desired Jason to combine his technical gifts with his growing passion for the lost. Jason attended Moody Bible Institute where he received his Biblical and technical training needed to become a missionary pilot.
A favorite passage of Jason's is Romans 8:37-39, "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height now depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." This passage encourages him because it shows that Christ has already won the victory. "Because of His great power and love, nothing can separate Him from people lost in darkness!"
Robyn was raised in a church-going family in Oolitic, IN. Her faith was influenced the most by her father and she accepted Christ at the age of eight. Hearing testimonies from several missionaries who served in Ecuador piqued her interest in missions, culminating into a personal call to missions her freshman year of college. She received her B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Milligan College in Tennessee. She and Jason met at a church event while they were in college and were married shortly after graduation.
A special verse for Robyn is Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." This verse brings her comfort and the reminder that God is always in control.
