MAF field IT staff provide services within the MAF organization and also to our partners in ministry in remote places around the world.

• Requirements
  • A thorough understanding of computer basics and troubleshooting hardware and software
  • Working knowledge of Windows server, Linux, WAN, Internet protocols, connections, and administration
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and email programs
  • Ability to relate to and train nontechnical people in a professional manner
  • Learner attitude/desire to upgrade skills needed for the rapidly changing IT field
  • Ministry attitude to work cross-culturally, including the training of indigenous people as the needs arise
• Recommended
  • Thorough working knowledge of VSAT equipment

As a qualified teacher, you will be an essential part of a team seeking to provide access to the Gospel in a challenging location. One of the vital components in overcoming barriers to the Gospel is quality education for the children of MAF missionary families.

MAF places teachers in a number of schooling situations, ranging from one-room, multigrade schools to traditional accredited international schools.

Requirements:

• Growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
• Teacher certification – U.S. State or ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International)
• Minimum of one-year full-time teaching experience
• Willingness to raise ministry partners for prayer and financial support

The flight operations, communications, and learning technologies of MAF uniquely have an impact on people whose access to the Gospel or to basic needs is severely restricted. These technical tools are wielded with precision and effectiveness.

However, this technical ministry requires diligent administration behind the scenes. The tools are expensive, the cargo precious, and the resources limited. MAF urgently needs skilled accountants and finance managers who will use their talents to assure that records are clear and helpful, planning is careful and realistic, and MAF continues being good stewards of the gifts, talents, and resources entrusted to us.

Are you interested in learning more about MAF and missions? Are you open to God's leading? And are you ready to dedicate a meaningful length of time to reaching people for Christ? If so, short-term service with MAF may be just right for you! Many folks, young and old, have ministered through the years as short-term staff with MAF overseas.

What options are available for short-term assignments?

We have openings throughout the world, along the full gamut of MAF specialties (except pilots; we do not have opportunities for short-term pilots). However, please keep in mind that short-term candidates must still possess the same qualifications in their specialty areas as career staff.
