What is the MAF Volunteer Ministry?

"If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen." – I Peter 4:11

Mission Aviation Fellowship provides volunteer ministry opportunities for Christians who are called to expand God's Kingdom. MAF mobilizes and equips believers to overcome barriers to the Gospel and transform lives. Short-term and long-term ministry positions are available, both overseas and in the U.S.

Qualifications

  • The majority of ministry at MAF happens because men and women employ their God-given gifts to serve others. The volunteers at MAF share a deep love for Christ and for His mission.
  • As an MAF volunteer, you become a key ministry partner who helps transform lives worldwide. Key beliefs that unite MAF volunteers are: a passionate love for Jesus Christ, a heart for unreached people and a conviction that their efforts can help transform lives in the world's most remote areas.
  • Most volunteer positions are at the MAF facility in Nampa, Idaho, though some overseas opportunities may be available. MAF Advocates (a specialized volunteer position) represent MAF in their own communities.
  • At MAF, it is our sincere desire to place volunteers in a ministry that will employ their gifts and strengths as they grow in Christ, while at the same time advancing the ministry of MAF in a significant way for God's kingdom. In order for MAF to ensure a win-win match, every volunteer ministry candidate goes through a screening process.
