Kyle and Esther Ambrose, and their two daughters, Victoria and Gloria, have been serving the pilots and mechanics of Mission Aviation Fellowship for over 16 years as missionary teachers. First, in what was then Zaire, then in Mali, and for the past 8 years in Wamena, Papua, Indonesia. They both agree that it is extremely rewarding to provide an education to the children of missionaries serving on the front lines, building God’s Kingdom in remote areas.
Kyle teaches grades 6-8 to a group of students from the U.S., Canada, Indonesia, and the Netherlands, from 5 different sending organizations – one being MAF. As he has time, he also provides music lessons outside of school to both nationals and expatriates. He enjoys regularly leading worship for the international fellowship in Wamena.
Esther teaches grades 1-2 to an equally diverse group of students from Canada, the U.S., and the Netherlands. Victoria and Gloria go to school at the main HIS campus in Sentani and live at the missionary dorm. Esther and the other mothers in Wamena, who have children attending HIS Sentani, join together weekly to pray for them and all those caring for their daily needs, both in the dorm and at school. Both she and Kyle enjoy providing hospitality to visitors passing through.
They also have a son, Elon, who is living and working in the U.S. He plans to attend college after saving some money.
God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in the Ambroses’ ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a Ministry Partner with them through prayer and/or financial support.
