Eric and Hannah Bell

Eric and Hannah Bell are missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship, serving in Papua, Indonesia. They are the proud parents of Chloe, Grace, and Charis and are excited to be reaching out to the Merauke, Papua region as a pilot/mechanic family. Merauke is home to the only floatplane on the entire island of Papua, and MAF uses this aircraft to serve national pastors, missionaries, and others living among the vast river systems of Papua. The Bells have a desire to daily live out Romans 15:5-6 through their personal and family life, no matter where they are or what they are doing: “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” With this unity in mind, the Bells hope to glorify Christ through the ministries God has called them to within the home and community.

Hannah had always been drawn to the adventure of missions since she was a little girl, but after taking a missions course in college, the need and call to serve became urgent. Hannah, like Eric, had a conviction to somehow serve those who had little or no access to the Bible, and God used that similar heart to draw her and Eric together. God is faithful in using Hannah’s “people person” gifts in Papua as she greatly enjoys bonding with neighbors, store owners, and most anyone she comes into contact with during her daily life as a mother of three toddlers. She is always humbled and excited to see how God opens doors in daily interactions, ministries, and relationships for her to be able to show Christ’s love to people around her.

Eric and Hannah feel blessed to be called together as a family for this ministry with MAF. They have known each other since high school, having attended the same church and participated in the same youth band. Married in 2012, they eagerly await all that God has to teach them in marriage, parenting, and ministry. They greatly enjoy living and serving in Papua, and they are honored to be a part of what God is doing there.
