Kevin and Melisa, along with their three children, Kyle, Annie, and Ryan, serve with MAF in the land-locked nation of Lesotho, surrounded by the country of South Africa. Kevin faithfully works behind the scenes as manager of the Lesotho program.
With a team of five MAF families and several national staff, Kevin leads and guides the team, serves as a liaison between MAF and other organizations, and oversees the financial position of the program, ensuring efficient and responsible use of resources.
Kevin shares, “One thing is clear: the need is great, both for physical and spiritual healing. The Bosotho (the people of Lesotho) are trapped in a culture that mixes worship of the ancestors and witch doctors with modern medicine. We, as MAF, want to bring God’s light and love, while meeting their physical needs as well.”
Whatever changes come their way, Kevin takes comfort in Romans 8:38-39, knowing that no matter what happens in this world or around him, he is secure in God’s love. God’s love is a sure thing and something all believers can count on!
Much of Melisa’s time is devoted to everyday life and maintaining the home. She builds relationships in the community and frequently extends hospitality to guests. In order to serve the international community of women, Melisa helps lead a weekly Bible study. Seeing the women grow in their personal walks with Jesus has been a blessing and encouragement. Psalm 59:9 is a favorite of Melisa’s. “O my Strength, I watch for you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.”
Before moving to Lesotho in 2014, the Borrors served for seven years in Ecuador as a pilot/mechanic family.
