Chad and Jamie look forward to following God’s call on their lives to reach others for Christ as a pilot/mechanic family with Mission Aviation Fellowship!
Chad was born in Bakersfield, CA and started following Christ at an early age. During his early childhood he developed a keen fascination with airplanes. One day while flying solo for his private pilot license as a high school senior, Chad first felt the call toward mission aviation without even knowing if such a thing existed. That same year he went on a mission trip to Mexico and decided to commit his life to reaching others for Christ. Soon after, he attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ. There he was introduced to MAF, and the prospect of serving in mission aviation became a concrete reality and firm resolution. Earning his B.S. in Aerospace Studies, Chad was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. When his service was complete, Chad immediately refocused his time and resources towards obtaining his FAA pilot and mechanic certificates. Additionally, he was able to gain real life experience working over 2 years as a full-time mechanic and part-time instructor at Regal Air, a flight school in Everett, WA. Chad holds Airframe & Powerplant mechanic certificates, as well as Commercial-Instrument ASEL & AMEL, and CFI certificates.
Jamie was raised by Christian parents in Tacoma, WA and accepted Jesus at a young age. During high school she became very passionate regarding her walk with the Lord. The same year Chad felt God’s call, Jamie attended a mission conference and pledged to serve the Lord as a missionary. Jamie met Chad during his service in the Air Force while she was in nursing school. Before marriage, they had many discussions about their call to serve the Lord. They soon entered marriage with a mutual passion and call to missions. Jamie is a registered nurse, specializing in pediatrics, with several years of general and intensive care experience, and a deep passion for serving children and their families. She is excited to see how the Lord will use her and Chad together to further the Kingdom of God.
Psalm 127:1 helps Chad and Jamie remember their critical dependence on the Lord. “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.” Ministry service begins and ends with the Lord. He calls; He enables; He equips. Chad and Jamie desire strongly to be His instruments for bringing others into His Kingdom for eternity!
God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in Chad and Jamie’s ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a Ministry Partner with them through prayer and financial support.
