Tim and Carole are truly excited to be missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship, returning to overseas service. They have been assigned to Tarakan, Kalimantan, Indonesia. They share, "We are living out the truth found in Proverbs 16:9. God has been true to establish our steps even while we made our plans! This unexpected turn of events leading us back to Indonesia is a blessing and a joy!"
Tim will continue working within the IT department supporting both MAF headquarters remotely and the local Indonesian team as well. One major project in which Tim is involved is upgrading computer and network equipment in the field.
Carole looks forward to serving the missionary families by teaching Grades 1 and 2 at the Peningki Hill School in Tarakan. Tim and Carole also hope to become acquainted with the national people of Kalimantan, sharing the love and joy of Christ with them.
Tim grew up in many of the southwestern and western states of the US. Raised in a Christian home, he accepted Christ early in life, at the age of five. He graduated from the University of Arizona, in Tucson, receiving his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and has worked at several technology-based companies as a development engineer and manager. Tim has also had the opportunity to work with culturally diverse people, and internationally with engineers in the Far East and Scandinavia.
Carole was born in Yuma, AZ. Her parents served the Southern Baptist Convention as both pastor and "home" missionary in several western states, and were a strong influence in her life. At age six, she accepted Christ as her Savior. She attended California Baptist University in Riverside, CA, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts, then graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR, with a master’s degree in Education.
Tim and Carole were married 1984, and have been blessed with four children who are now in various stages of attending college and working, walking the journey of life set before them. They are enthusiastic supporters of their parents’ desire to minister to missionary families in Kalimantan.
God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in the Flegals' ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming Ministry Partners with them through prayer and/or financial support.
