Tim and Carol Imbrock are missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship. The Imbrocks spent 15 years in Papua New Guinea as a pilot/mechanic family, serving with MAF-Australia prior to moving to MAF headquarters in Nampa, Idaho.
Tim and Carol have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Grant and Grace were both married in 2011 and live in Texas and Ohio respectively. Their youngest, Claire, is 12 and in 7th grade homeschool. She is starting in the youth group at church this year, and has finished with AWANA Club. She loves playing the piano, sewing, cooking, reading, training her Great Dane, Winston, and running with the Homeschool Christian Running club.
Tim shares, "God has given me a love for learning and teaching. This role of Instructor Pilot is a perfect fit for me! As one of the five flight instructors in the training department, I help evaluate pilots who want to join MAF, train new MAF pilots, and travel around the world checking experienced pilots on the field. We consider it a privilege to help equip new MAF pilots from around the world, to fly professionally, safely and do well in their overseas service."
Tim, the son of a pastor and missionary was born and raised in Papua, New Guinea. The example of his parents’ lives in action and faith helped him grow and mature and commit his life to the Lord while in high school. Tim's family was on the receiving end of MAF’s service and, as a result, keenly aware of the impact that mission aviation had for them and for the building of God’s Kingdom.
Tim has an Associate Degree in Aviation Maintenance from Columbus State Community College, Columbus, Ohio, where he earned his A & P licenses. He later gained his Inspection Authorization working in Ohio and Minnesota. Today, he holds an ATP rating, CFII ratings, including SES. Tim has spent significant time conducting training and orientation for MAF pilots.
Carol was born and raised in Grove City, Ohio, the older of two children. She accepted the Lord as her Savior when she was in high school, through a friend who invited her to visit a different church. Carol attended Malone College in Canton, Ohio, to study music, but after 1 ½ years felt that working in an office was the way the Lord was leading her. It wasn't until she met Tim in the church choir that she began to understand a bit more about missions. Tim and Carol were married in September 1987. Carol enjoys sewing for her children and grandchildren, providing hospitality, harvesting the produce of Tim’s garden and has a deep passion for reading and studying God's Word.
Tim and Carol are excited about the unique ministry they have equipping pilots, mentoring and praying for them and their families as they prepare for working on the mission field. They frequently have these pilots and their families in their home for meals and fellowship.
God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in the Imbrocks' ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a Ministry Partner with them through prayer and/or financial support.
