Gene and Lynn Jordan

Gene and Lynn Jordan are missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship. They have 2 adult daughters, Kimberly and Kelley. The Jordans have been a part of MAF since 1977, filling many varied roles, including pilot/mechanic/program manager in Ecuador, and Regional Manager for Latin America.

In 2000, Gene and Lynn were asked to move from Ecuador to MAF's worldwide headquarters. Gene initially assumed the responsibility as MAF's Director of Communications. "I enjoyed 18 months of getting out the MAF story so that more individuals and churches could partner in completing the tasks of Matthew 28 and Acts 1," Gene says.

In March of 2002 Gene was asked to assume responsibilities as MAF's Vice President of Personnel. This Division of MAF includes:

  • Staff Development (recruitment and non-technical training)
  • Personnel Services (the legal side of being an Idaho employer)
  • Volunteer department (local and overseas)
  • Member Care (pastoral care of our worldwide staff)
  • Furlough and Travel desks
  • Campus Support. (care and maintenance of our facility)

Daughter Kim graduated from Wheaton College as a political science/international relations major. She spent two years with Operation Mobilization serving on the Logos II. She and her husband, Peter, both serve with Voice of the Martyrs.

Daughter Kelley completed studies leading to an undergraduate degree from Moody Bible Institute, followed by a Master's degree from Wheaton College in counseling. She and her husband, Nate, serve as missionaries in Ecuador.

Lynn has taught missionary kids at each of the mission schools near the MAF bases where they have been assigned overseas and continues teaching in the Nampa school system. She considers her classroom as her mission field.

"It's been exciting to see God work and build His Church in the Amazon jungles of Latin America. My current challenge is to prepare future pilots, mechanics, computer whizzes, radio technicians, teachers, and administrators to reach those areas of the world that still have not heard the Good News."

God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in Gene and Lynn's ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a Ministry Partner with them through prayer and/or financial support.
