Daniel and Becky are excited about glorifying the Lord and serving together as missionaries with Mission Aviation Fellowship, to help spread the Gospel to those who have not yet heard the Good News. The Perez family is currently serving in Wamena, Papua, Indonesia. Daniel enjoys his role in building God’s Kingdom as he maintains aircraft and provides valuable flight services to missionaries, national pastors, medical personnel and local communities in one of the most remote places on earth. While caring for Reece (6), Joseph (4), Lily and Ellie (born July 2011) is the priority for Becky (and keeps her more than busy!), she enjoys utilizing her training as a Registered Nurse among fellow missionaries in the community. As they serve among the people of Indonesia, Daniel and Becky cling to Jesus' promise in Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Daniel attributes much of his desire to serve as a missionary to his church’s involvement in missions. Although he was saved at a young age, his faith became real during high school. While on a short-term mission trip to Mexico, he committed himself to being a missionary, trusting that God would open the necessary doors. He became aware of MAF through a family friend who had served as a pilot/mechanic in Indonesia. After high school he attended the Moody Bible Institute where he graduated with a B.S. in Mission Aviation Technology, and obtained his commercial pilot’s license (fixed-wing, SEL), flight instructor rating, and airframe and powerplant mechanics certificate. After graduation, working as a flight instructor in Houston, he obtained his commercial multi-engine land and instrument instructor ratings.
Becky was also born and raised in Houston, Texas, and met Daniel through the youth group at Cypress Bible Church. She was saved in high school while on a ski trip with the youth group. The Lord began working in her heart for missions while on a mission trip to Mexico, and her commitment to serve as a missionary was solidified during her time at Baylor University. She first learned about MAF through Daniel and became more familiar with the organization during missions conferences at Moody Aviation. Becky attended Baylor University for two years before transferring to East Tennessee State University where she graduated with a B.S. in Nursing.
God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in Daniel and Becky’s ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a Ministry Partner with them through prayer and/or financial support.
