With a desire to glorify God and show the love of Jesus Christ by helping meet the everyday physical and spiritual needs of others, Ryan and Jessica Wolff are excited to be a new pilot/mechanic missionary family with Mission Aviation Fellowship. Operating in a humanitarian aid role, Ryan will be flying and maintaining aircraft which transport supplies and personnel to remote locations of Indonesia. While fulfilling the important role of being a mom, Jessica looks forward to building relationships with neighbors and looking for opportunities to utilize her nursing skills.
Ryan was born in Tennessee while his parents were preparing to serve as missionaries in Mexico. Eight years later his family moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he later received training for his Aircraft Maintenance Technician certificate. Relocating to Spokane, Washington, he attended Moody Aviation, earning a Commercial Pilot certificate and Instrument Rating, as well as Bible training. Although saved at a young age, he feels it wasn’t until his time at Moody that his relationship with the Lord truly came alive. While in school he met his beautiful bride, Jessica, at the church they both attended. Today he jokes, “I actually moved to Spokane to marry Jessica and school was a bonus!” They were married shortly after graduation. He then went on to receive training for his Certified Flight Instructor certificate and worked in the aircraft painting industry before joining MAF.
Born in California, Jessica has lived in Spokane, Washington since she was 10 and considers that her home. She was saved at a young age, having been raised in a Christian home and taught of her need for the Lord very early in life. The Lord has been faithful in growing and refining her faith since then. As she comes from a family of nurses, Jessica knew she wanted to continue this tradition and attended Spokane Community College, earning her Associate Degree of Nursing. She was hired at a local hospital where she worked for 4 years on a Medical Oncology floor. It wasn’t until after she met her wonderful husband, Ryan, that the Lord started growing in her a passion to serve Him overseas long term. Her grandparents were missionaries in Ecuador and benefited greatly from the services of MAF. Their appreciation for MAF impacted Ryan and Jessica’s decision to join MAF themselves.
God calls the men and women of MAF to serve Him in unique ways. He may also be calling you to a special role in the Wolffs’ ministry. Please prayerfully consider becoming a Ministry Partner with them through prayer and/or financial support.
